The four logos below are intial designs for Airlie Farms.
Design OneOriginally, I was feeling uninspired and thought to use their font library to spell out Airlie along with three things about Airlie, and have the leaf attached to what in my mind looked like the pig tail.
Design TwoI felt design one looked cheap and unprofessional, so I chose to design something more simplistic. However, I realized this design is too modern for the family vibe Airlie was going for.
Design ThreeI quite like this design concept, however, it does not have anything to do with the farm besides the small word "Farm" underneath the word Airlie.
Design FourI decided to start out with their current two logos, the pig and leaf. The leaf conveniently fit inside the pig, alongside some words. This was my the design I felt was both modern and family-esk enough to submit.
I chose to submit Design Four for class, and after feedback about a few things made some changes. The class and professor agreed that the wording was too much. I elected to remove the extra words and make it more simplistic. Below is the final submission.
Submitted Logo:
Airlie placed this logo at approximately number five or six in their rankings. They liked the pig, but felt the snout gets lost in the white background. In my original vision it would not be placed on a white background and therefore this would not be an issue, but I understand their worry. They as well did not like the "properties", which in my mind was a way to combine the farm, hotel, and wedding grounds. I am sad that it was not chosen, but I understand why they went with one of the other submitted designs.
